We will struggle till achieving equality, peace, reassurance for women

The Center for Research and Protection of Women's Rights in Syria, International Women's Day, congratulated all women, and said, “We renew our pledge to women who are under inhumane conditions that we will strive to fulfill their rights,” and presented several demands to the international community to preserve women's rights, especially in detention centers and camps.

On Monday, March 8, marks International Women's Day, and on this occasion the Center for Research and Protection of Women's Rights in Syria issued a statement, through which it congratulated the occasion on women, and affirmed the continuation of the struggle until the achievement of equality, peace and reassurance for women.

The text of the statement read:

"On the occasion of International Women's Day, we extend our warmest congratulations to the women who wrote heroic epics in their defense of the homeland, and we recall the resistance and struggle of those women who paid precious things for their people to this great day, we will follow their path, and will not calm till achieving equality, peace and reassurance for women in our society.

And we will renew our pledge to all women who are being held in inhumane conditions in detention centers, we will strive to liberate them, and we will not remain silent about what is being to.

We will work with concerned parties of the international and regional to punish the criminals who spread the corruption in our region, committing horrible crimes against the women in NE, Syria, on this occasion we decry the Kurdistan region’s reception of those involved in war crimes and crimes against humanity in Syria, the killers of the politician Hevrin Khalaf, as she sought to establish the peace in Syria, was killed without pity, and they encourage to commit the same crimes in occupied areas Afrin, Ras-al-Ain.

The statement continued by presenting several demands to international bodies, including the need to work to protect women's rights and end the Syrian tragedy, "On the occasion of this day that women all over the world celebrate the successes and victories achieved by women, we call on the international and regional human rights and political bodies, and at the top of which is the United Nations, represented by its president, Mr. António Guterres, and UN Women, represented by its chairperson, Ms. Fumzile Mlambo Ncocka:

Work to end the Syrian tragedy, end the occupation, and punish the criminals involved in crimes against women and children, in accordance with international laws and conventions.

Put pressure to release the women who are being held in detention centers in all Syrian parts.

Ensuring the safe return of all refugees and displaced persons to their homes and lands.

Finding peaceful and objective solutions for women and children in the camps of al-Hol, Roj and others, and working on their return to their homelands.

Once again, we renew our pledge to protect women's rights and work to achieve freedom, justice and equality for them.
