Symposium in Ain Issa on International Women's Day occasion

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Kongra Star organized today a seminar in Ain Issa district to explain the importance of this day for women and the pioneering role that women played during Rojava Revolution.

Dozens of female teachers from Girê Spî and Ain Issa schools attended the symposium, which bore the slogan “Woman’s Revolution Is Our Freedom.”

The symposium began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, followed by the speech of the Administrator of Kobane Justice Council, Falak Youssef, through which she congratulated all women on  the International Women's Day which falls on March 8th of each year, and urged all women to raise the pace of struggle and resistance in the face of the dictatorial authorities and male mentally that work to break women’s will and resistance because they are afraid of the success of this resistance.

Falak confirmed during her speech that: “Women are the catalyst for the victory of all revolutions, as in the Rojava Revolution which was embodied by women, and was called the Women's Revolution made great achievements and legendary resistance in it.”

Falak added, “We must not make this day a normal day as the capitalist countries that are trying to reduce its importance want, but we must always make it a starting point for struggle against those who try to take away our rights.”

While the Administrator of the Education Committee in Girê Spî Canton, Muslim City, spoke about the burning of a textile factory in New York when women wanted to obtain their rights and equalize their salaries with men’s, she said: “Women can carry out revolutions in order to obtain their rights. During Rojava Revolution, women managed to obtain their rights and to enter all areas of life; service, political and military.”

Then the symposium ended after answering all the questions raised by the attendees, which focused on how to escalate the struggle at work and family life in a way that helps in advancing society for the better.
