KOBANE

The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in the Euphrates region organized a torchlight procession during which it delivered a statement, denouncing the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, the tight isolation on him and the violations committed by the Turkish state against Kurdish politicians detained in Turkish prisons, in which dozens of youth in Kobane city participated.

The march started from al-Salam (Peace) Square, during which the participants carried torches and banners on which "In the spirit of prisons' resistance, we will defeat the international and fascist conspiracy and guarantee the freedom of the leader Ocalan ... Time has come for freedom ... We will definitely prevail" written on, chanting slogans that denounced the international conspiracy and strict isolation imposed on the leader, in addition to slogans that saluted the prisons resistance.

When the participants arrived at the Martyr Agîd Square, they held a minute of silence, then the Member of the Young Women's Union Movement in the Euphrates region, Jihan Temmy read a statement which included:

"We strongly condemn and denounce the international silence towards the practices of the fascist Turkish state against our people, especially the Kurdish politicians and parliamentarians in prisons, who went on hunger strike against the policies, and in order to lift the isolation on the leader of peoples and humanity, the leader (Apo)."

The statement noted that: "Despite all the policies, extortion, and systematic aggressive practices against our people, international silence towards the practices of the fascist Turkish state continues until now, and despite the violations that Turkey is practicing against detainees who have gone on hunger strike in Turkish prisons, the hunger strike reached a critical level in which a number of Kurdish activists martyred in order to achieve people's demands to lift the isolation on the leader."

The statement continued: "It requires us in the current stage to raise the pace of our struggle against every occupier, especially against Turkish fascism to break the chains of restrictions it placed on our leader and the Kurdish people, and to work with all revolutionary spirit to obtain our legitimate rights and to follow the footsteps of the leader and the martyrs."

The statement appealed to all youth and people "to join the ranks of resistance and struggle and to organize ourselves to break and end the restrictions imposed by Turkish fascism on our leader and the people."

The statement concluded by saying: "We, as the youth of the Euphrates region, from the city of resistance and steadfastness, swear that we will not stop the struggle and resistance,  we will be a flame of fire that burns everyone who tries to end us, and we will preserve the gains of the revolution and follow our martyrs footsteps."

After reading the statement completed, the Revolutionary Youth Movement announced the opening of a sit-in tent at the Martyr Agîd Square to denounce the international conspiracy against the leader which will last for 3 days in a row.
