On an Iranian attack in memory of Soleimani... US Senator: We will respond with overwhelming force

The American Senator, Lindsay Graham, warned of any Iranian provocation, stressing the response "with overwhelming force", in conjunction with the first anniversary of the killing of Qassem Soleimani.

The Republican senator and head of the Judicial Committee said, through his Twitter account, "For the Iranians, you should not think for a moment that American domestic policy distracted us from monitoring all your movements." He continued, "If necessary, we will respond to your provocations with overwhelming force. Do not err in your estimates."

The warning came after the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ismail Qaani, issued threats of terrorist operations inside America.

He said: The killing of General Qassem Soleimani in a US attack will not deter Tehran from the resistance in light of the escalation of tensions as the first anniversary of the US drone strike approaches, stressing that Iran is still ready to respond.

On Friday, a US official revealed that his country had obtained information indicating that Iran might plan to launch an attack on US forces in the Middle East, or US interests in the region.
