​​​​​​​Afghanistan: 35 civilians killed, injured east of country

The Afghan Ministry of Interior announced that 15 civilians were killed, and 20 others were injured, today, as a result of an explosion that took place in Ghazni province, east of Afghanistan.

The Ministry's Spokesperson, Tariq Aryan, confirmed that a bike exploded in front of a house in a village in Kilan region of Ghazni province, eastern Afghanistan, where the Quran recitation ceremony was held.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

Since decades, Afghanistan has been witnessing wars and unrest, which escalated the pace of violence in the country, the collapse of economy and the almost complete destruction of infrastructure, and many residents have become refugees in other countries.
