Women's Administration in al-Raqqa erects sit-in tent to denounce Turkey's crimes

The Women's Administration in al-Raqqa set up a tent in Tel al-Samen area north of the city with the participation of dozens of women, members of civil society organizations, and representatives from the Syrian Women's Council, the Future Syria Party and the Free Women's Association.

The tent was decorated with banners with "Rise up against the killer of Afrin children and women," "Where is the international conscience towards killing women in the Middle East?," "Al-Raqqa woman is rising up for Afrin woman against the tyrant Erdogan," "Let us unite; Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmens and Assyrians against the Turkish criminality" written on.

The tent activity began with a minute of silence, after which the administrator in the Women's Administration in al-Raqqa, Maryam Ibrahim, gave a speech in which she said: "We came today to say in one voice to Erdogan that we will not remain silent towards the dismantling of the Syrian fabric," and she called on women to confront "the enemy who practices brutal and inhuman methods."

In turn, the Member of the Women's Office in the Syrian Democratic Council, Neroz Abdel Rahman, said: "The Syrian regions are witnessing wars and bloody conflicts with the aim of dividing the Syrian lands according to the interests of the international powers present in Syria, which change the path of the solution. We condemn these policies that threaten the security and stability of the region."

A speech on behalf of the Internal Security Forces was given by the Member Hala Hamdan, and a word on behalf of civil society organizations was delivered by Reem al-Ahmad, condemning the crimes committed by the Turkish state against women.

A short film about the crimes committed by Turkey in the regions of northeastern Syria was shown.

It is worth noting that the sit-in will end tomorrow with various activities.
