The Prime Minister's Office in Ethiopia said in a statement, on Monday that the military operations in the disputed Tigray region have ended.

The office added that their work will now focus on delivering humanitarian aid to the population after weeks of clashes.

According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, the authorities will bring the perpetrators to justice and will work to restore law and order, indicating that the Ethiopian government will work to secure humanitarian aid access to the region's citizens and resettle those who were forced to cross the border.

Last week, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed declared victory in the long-running conflict, but fighting between federal and regional forces continues.
