Pro Women Protest in Aleppo

A pro women protest was held in Aleppo by Syria's Woman Council, confirming that they would be a cry for every woman undergoes violence.

The protest that was organized in eastern part of the Sheikh Maqsud Quarter, of the city of Aleppo, was attended by tens of representatives of feminist associations and political parties, holding banners that read : we are a cry for those no longer have a voice, violence is not strength, rather a misuse and weakness, we are not made for violence''. 

A minute of silence was observed, then a speech was delivered by member of Syria's Woman Council, Berivan Horo, who stressed that in spite of agreements and treaties that call for ending violence against women, she is being persecuted and specially at the time Covid -19 Pandemic outbreak, for she has been open to violence at home.  

Berivan assured that they, Syria's Woman Council, Aleppo office, would proceed work to stop violence, and they would be a cry for every woman in Syria in special and all over the world in general
