Today, the Greek counterterrorism unit arrested a 27-year-old Syrian citizen on suspicion of being a member of and participating in ISIS during a raid in the Eleonas camp in Athens, according to the Greek newspaper Kathimerini.

Anti-terror officers confiscated electronic devices from the Syrian man’s residence, which the authorities will check.

According to Greek Police (ELAS), the man entered Greece on March 28, 2018, during interrogation, prior to the charges against him and will be brought before the prosecutor in Athens, ELAS said.

The Syrian citizen is also facing charges of terrorism and aiding in murder while he is in a calm state of mind, and the authorities said that he appeared in a video clip with ISIS mercenaries published in 2014.

The issue of refugees, especially terrorists, was one of the most important pressure cards that Turkey used to blackmail European countries.
