The National News Agency reported that the pipelines that cross the Akkar Plain towards the oil facilities in Beddawi have stopped pumping through them since the start of the Lebanese war.

The leaked petroleum materials were set on fire, and black smoke rose in the sky of the region, threatening a certain disaster, as oil materials flow heavily in the water channels and their branches in the fields and on the roads.

The civil defense teams went to try to extinguish the fires that need special materials to extinguish them, and it is not the first time that oil pipelines have been subjected to such an encroachment motivated by the theft of the oil materials that are still deposited in them, according to what the agency reported.

Elements of the security services attended, and the Oil Facilities Administration was informed of the matter, and work is underway to send workshops to extinguish the fire and repair malfunctions, while investigations are continuing to find out the identity of the attackers.
