Yesterday, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) issued a statement insulting and humiliating the women's movement in its statement, the Kurdistan Women’s Union (KJK) responded to the insults of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in its statement; KJK called on Kurdish women in all parts of Kurdistan to revolt against this authoritarian and male mentality, and to adopt an effective position on these insults.

Ramziya Muhammad, the spokesperson for the Star Kongra-Rojava, said in an interview with our agency: “The statement of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which was issued recently, targeting and insulting Kurdish women, the Kurdish woman who fought and is still fighting the male mentality for decades, and was avant-garde in all areas of life, we reject the rhetoric of the KDP, its insults, and its lack of respect for the women's movement. Through it, it wanted to underestimate women. The struggle that Kurdish women are leading is greater than that, and it is shameful to use such responses against a leading woman."

The Kurdish woman must escalate her struggle to protect the gains

Ramziya mentioned that Kurdish women in Bakur Kurdistan have been subjected for years to violence and arrests, and a dirty policy has been applied to them by the enemy of the Kurdish people, and now they want, at the hands of the Kurds, to follow the same policy on women, so the Kurdish woman has to step up her struggle and continue to protect the gains of the Kurdish people."

Ramziya also stated: “The KDP aims through moves towards legitimate defense areas to remove the People’s Defense Forces from them and besiege them, in order to serve Turkey's interests and create Kurdish-Kurdish fighting.”

Ramziya indicated: “The People’s Defense Forces are the ones who protect the gains of the Kurdish people, and have liberated many areas of Şengal, Hewler and others from ISIS mercenaries and the Turkish occupation, so the presence of the People’s Defense Forces in the legitimate defense areas aims to protect the Kurdish cause, the Kurdish people and the Kurdish nation.”

Turkey is the primary beneficiary of tensions between the Kurdish forces

Ramziya explained: “The Turkish state is the primary beneficiary of the tensions that occur between the Kurdish forces, and in the event of a Kurdish-Kurdish fighting, it will reach its goal, which it has been awaiting for years, as it wants to occupy all Kurdish regions, annex them to its lands and obliterate the Kurdish people.

Ramziya also noted that the entire Kurdish people reject Kurdish-Kurdish fighting, and that all Kurdish women and women's organizations dismiss the Kurdish-Kurdish fight.

Ramziya Muhammad concluded her speech by saying: “The Kurdish people should be alert to the plots against them, and they should not be drawn behind the enemies’ plots, just as all women must show common positions, cooperate with each other in the four parts of Kurdistan, and become human shields to protect the lands of Kurdistan and the forces that have protected that land for many years, because women possess the strength that enables them to stand against all difficulties.
