On November 3, the Crisis Cell in the Al-Jazeera region announced that total fourteen-day curfew has been imposed in Derik, starting from November 6, to curb the outbreak of the Corona pandemic that has increased in the city recently.

On Friday, the total curfew decision have come into effect in the city of Derik, and full compliance was observed by the people, as markets and shops were seen closed, with the exception of centers which nature of their work require to open, such as the Internal Security Forces, medical staff, fuel stations, bakeries and subsidiary stores that are allowed to open until the afternoon.

When our agency's camera monitored the markets, it became clear that shops, garages and civil society institutions were closed, and the Internal Security Forces intensified their patrols within the neighborhoods of the city, and closed the entrances and exits of the city, to prevent entry and exit to and from it except for humanitarian and emergency cases.
