At a time when the Turkish occupation state keeps on attacking and threatening the regions of the NE Syria, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, confirms the ongoing talks between the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces on the one hand, and the Syrian government on the other hand. Abdi called on the latter to be responsible and not obstruct ways to solution.

Abdi also emphasized that they were never behind the Syrian crisis, but rather that they defended their areas and expelled ISIS mercenaries from them. ".

Those who see themselves as concerned with the future of Syria do not obstruct the way of a solution.

On many occasions, officials of the AANES announced that Damascus government move away from the dialogue. Many understandings were reached between the SDF and the government on military affairs with Russian guarantees.

With respect to all of these understandings, and the reasons of obstructing a solution by Damascus, Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, spoke to Hawar News Agency, and said: “If they were thinking for the future of Syria, they would not have made such statements, nor would they obstruct means for a solution. the Syrian state, as well as other countries, acknowledge very well our position on the Syrian crisis from 2011 until today. "

′ The mindset needs to be changed ′

Abdi noted that some parties push the Syrian government to make statements to impede the solution process, adding in this regard: “The Syrian government is still continuing its chauvinistic approach and mentality without working on changing it. It does not want to do so, therefore it itself does not trust its own statements. "

"Because some parties demand the regime to make these statements. Indeed, if they were thinking about the future of Syria, they would not have made such statements nor obstruct the means for a solution. The Syrian state and other countries, know very well our position on the Syrian crisis from 2011 until today. For the sake of Syria in general, we aim at preventing division of its territories, and outbreak of major wars. " Abdi continued.

We are committed with the third approach ′

Abdi noted that they have been working on protecting the Syrian borders with both Iraq and Turkey since 2012. Therefore, they are practically defending the unity of the Syrian territories, and on their general position on this issue, Abdi said:

“When state institutions were falling apart all over the Syria, the peoples of our region began building their institutions. From the first day, we were committed with the third approach regarding the Syrian crisis. On that basis, we are still committed to it.

We have never sided with the Damascus government party and foreign powers, but we did side with the Syrian national values and committed ourselves to defending our regions. We have not been drawn into their wars of interests, and we are still committed to the same position.

The Damascus government's position obstructs the solution ′

Abdi confirmed that they were never part of the Syrian crisis, rather that they defended their areas and expelled ISIS mercenaries from them, and he also added: “We have been in continuous touch with the Damascus government in order to maintain the security of the region, and we still have communication channels to find a solution to the present security issues, but the same cannot be said on the political level.

The government positions do not contribute in a solution. It always works to obstruct the talks.

A political solution must be found ′

"The situation in the regions of NE Syria is different from that of Daraa, As-Suwayda, Homs, Ghouta and Damascus, which were liberated with the help of Russia." Whoever finds a solution in these areas, it must be a political solution. Syria cannot be reconstructed without our participation. " he said.

'We are ready for negotiations,'

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, confirmed their willingness to continue discussions with the Syrian government, but "some of those with malicious mentality and tendencies reject that."

He called on the Damascus government to be responsible and desist from its stances that impede the means of a solution, and said in this regard: "The Damascus government must act responsibly.

We have defended our areas, and we will continue to do so. Should be it necessary, we will defend them against the Damascus government as well. We are ready for negotiations with everyone, so the Damascus government has the only option of the negotiations. Its statements are just mere political propaganda that do not serve the future of Syrians. They must abandon these policies that hinder and impede negotiations. "
