​​​​​​​Egyptian writer praises necessity of rallying all democratic forces around KCK campaign

This came during an interview with the Egyptian writer and journalist Ilhami Al-Meligy about Turkey's policies of expansion in the Middle East, and the goal of launching the KCK campaign "No to isolation, fascism and occupation, the time has come for freedom", to end the occupation and isolation of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and all united Arab and Kurdish forces to confront the occupation.

What is Turkey aiming at in its direct intervention in the Arab countries?

-These policies aim to plunder the wealth of Arab countries, and fragment the Arab world into states and Emirates in preparation for the restoration of the Ottoman dream.

Turkey's Ottoman empire that occupied Arab countries for hundreds of years, seeks to restore its empire at the expense of the Arabs.

* The Kurdistan Communities Union launched the campaign "No to isolation, fascism and occupation, it is time for freedom" to organize and unify efforts between the Kurdish people, democratic forces and the peoples of the region and the world to stand in the face of the blatant and destructive policies of the Turkish authorities as well as the freedom of Mr. Ocalan. How do you evaluate the importance of such campaigns and initiatives?

- Very good campaigns at a time when the region is witnessing tensions by the terrorist groups that represent the arms of the Turkish regime and its fascist colonial project in the region, making Turkey the main enemy for all the peoples of the region who are eager for freedom and justice, which requires unification to confront this arrogant and reckless enemy.

Mr. Abdullah Ocalan represents the icon of struggle, toughness and steadfastness of the free people in the world in our time, in addition to being a pioneer thinker of a special fabric that presented his people and the peoples of the region and the free world as a model for the thinker, the organic intellectual and the hard fighter, which requires all the free people of the world to join hands and coordinate to carry out regional and international campaigns to demand freedom for him.

I hope that the democratic forces in our region will take the initiative to prepare popular campaigns on the largest possible scale to introduce the path of Leader Ocalan to his struggle and his intellectual innovations, leading to intensive meetings with the Arab elites of intellectuals, politicians, writers, artists ... etc. and to inform them of the distinguished intellectual contributions of Mr. Ocalan, especially what is related on the democratization of the region and the zeroing of its crises in a way that ensures the peace among its various components in a society where social justice and true democracy prevail.

* The ideological-political approach of Mr. Abdullah Ocalan, played a very important role in turning the Kurdish people into a force throughout Kurdistan and in the Middle East. In particular, this ideology proposed the concept of a democratic nation, the brotherhood of peoples, and the integration of the region's culture. Therefore, the Turkish state imposes isolation on him in a clear violation of Turkish and European regulations, how do you evaluate this isolation? How is the way to lift it?

The Turkish regime is aware of the danger of Mr. Ocalan on his expansionist colonial project. Mr. Ocalan played an active role among the Kurdish citizens, both on the educational and organizational levels, as well as his intellectual innovations that pave the way for coexistence among the peoples of the region on the basis of love and peace in a society dominated by the values of justice and equality, social justice and democracy.

Therefore, the hostile plot of the international forces to the aspirations of the peoples of the region took part, as well as his arrest in harsh conditions aimed at weakening his resolve, but Mr. Ocalan's toughness confirmed that he was stronger from prison and prisoner, but during the period of detention he presented intellectual creativity that paves the way for reconciliation between peoples, especially those who are united by one earth, to live in peace, harmony and love in a society where justice, social justice and democracy prevail.

All the free peoples are required to make the utmost efforts to compel the Turkish regime to release the militant and thinker Abdullah Ocalan, by exposing the practices of the fascist regime that impose complete isolation on Mr. Ocalan in a flagrant violation of human values and a crudely transgression of Turkish and European laws, through articles with all the languages of the world, in newspapers, as well as through social media, public meetings, as well as organizing seminars, conferences and marches in various cities of the world and in front of international institutions such as the United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva and others, and addressing all human rights institutions in the world with petitions bearing millions of signatures.

* Since the coup of September 12, 1980, political Islam has paved the way for Turkey's power by the global regimes. Is the world order still betting on political Islam movements after the emergence of ISIS, as well as many movements that threaten global stability and security? What is the choice of the countries and peoples of the region in front of this?

I think that betting on political Islam is part of a plan by some government and politics in America and Europe, in order to create unrest in the region to justify their stay in the region and plunder their wealth and a guarantee of the security of the Zionist entity that is the spearhead for the colonial projects of the region.

The countries and peoples of the region must confront the groups of political Islam intellectually, politically, and on the security level, expose their suspicious plans, and push towards achieving social justice, spread values of justice and equality between races and deepen the culture of tolerance and coexistence, as well as spread societal and political democracy.

* There are many European political movements as well as the Arab brothers in Europe that participate in and support this campaign, because they know the truth about Erdogan's AKP and their oppression. Is it expected to see Arab popular or political campaigns within the Arab countries against Turkish interference, with our vision of some previous demonstrations in the eastern region of Libya, as well as in front of the Turkish embassy in Baghdad against Turkish intervention, especially with the increasing intensity of official Arab positions?

I hope that we will soon witness a wide Arab participation to expose Turkish plans in the region. I think that the Arab political leaders will not prohibit these popular activities after they realized the danger of the Turkish regime to Arab national security after it occupied parts of Syria and Iraq and pushed its advisors, security forces and soldiers have traveled to western Libya, Yemen and Somalia. It clearly supports the terrorist groups that represent its malign arm to implement its expansion projects.

* The campaign focuses on the importance of the movement of democratic forces in the region, as the responsibility of all the people of the region to defend their people against regional and global interference threats. How do you see the future of the region in light of these challenges? Is it possible to create a joint struggle between the democratic forces as well as an Arab-Kurdish alliance?

The Kurds' military and security formations, represent the spearhead in the face of regional and international interference and threats in the Arab region, which requires the Arabs to initiate broad coordination with the Kurds in the political, military and security fields to create a common front of struggle between the Arab and Kurdish democratic forces to confront the plots that target the presence of our peoples in the region.

* In light of the tension and chaos and Turkey's current expansionist policy, how can the internal front of the region be strengthened?

The interior front can be strengthened by adopting transparency as a method and working to achieve social justice, and to spread a climate of justice and tolerance among the ethnic, racial and sectarian components of the Arab region.

* After Turkey has become one of the most dangerous threats to Arab national security and occupies Arab countries and works to support terrorist organizations such as the Brotherhood, Al Qaeda and ISIS. In the midst of searching for ways to confront Turkish colonialism, do the Kurds who have been fighting a struggle against Turkey for forty years be seen as part of Arab national security? Has the Arab world's view of the Kurdish struggle and their rights changed, whether in Turkey, Iran or Syria?

I think that the outlook of the Arab world began to change towards the struggle of the Kurds and their rights in Turkey, Syria and Iran, after Kurdish forces were able to reveal the suffering of the Kurds and their role throughout history in the civilization and renaissance of the region. Their positions became clearer and more acceptable in the Arab street after the important and historical change that had prolonged their thinking by doing the distinguished intellectual additions of Mr. Abdullah Ocalan, as well as the successful experience of the Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria, which works in difficult and complex conditions.

The active pivotal role of the Syrian Democratic Forces in liberating northern Syria from the terrorist organization ISIS represented an important turning point in the direction of expanding the concept of Arab national security, as it was realized that the Kurds represented a qualitative addition to Arab national security.
