Al-Kazemi visits Hewler to discuss outstanding problems

Today, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi arrived in the city of Hewler in Başur Kurdistan, to discuss the outstanding problems between the two parties.

Al-Kazemi's office said in a statement that the latter met in Hewler on Thursday the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, in the presence of a number of officials in the government of Başur.

The statement added, "The meeting witnessed a discussion of the overall general situation on the national scene, the most prominent challenges in the country, and the unification of positions at the national level, as well as the file of holding early elections."

According to Roj News, after al-Kazemi meets with Hewler officials, he will travel to Sulaymaniyah, while sources noted his intention to visit the border outlets in the region.

Al-Kazemi will discuss with regional officials the outstanding problems between the regional government and the federal government and the file of early elections due to take place next June, as well as the files related to oil, the budget and imports.
