The Egyptian Foreign Minister’s alert to Ankara’s practices came during the meeting of the "Arab Ministerial Committee on Turkish Interventions in Arab Countries" headed by Egypt.

Sameh Shoukry said on Wednesday that the blatant Turkish practices and interventions in many Arab countries represent the most important emerging threats to Arab national security.

Sameh Shoukry stressed the need for a unified and resolute Arab policy to deter the Turkish regime, through more coordination between Arab countries.

The committee met within the framework of the activities of the 154th regular session of the League of Arab States Council.

The spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafez, said that Minister Shoukry reviewed during the meeting the destructive practices of the Turkish ruling regime in a number of Arab countries, which reinforce societal and sectarian divisions in the region.

He added that Minister Shoukri also shed light on some evidences that reflect the extent of the blatant interference of the Turkish regime in a number of Arab countries.

Among these evidences, Turkey facilitated the passage of tens of thousands of mercenaries to Syria, and pushed thousands of mercenaries to Libya, as well as its ambitions for the resources of Arab peoples in Iraq and in Libya by signing illegal memoranda of understanding.
