Demo in Qamishlo to condemn crimes of Turkish occupation 

The Turkish occupation army has intensified its attacks on the populated areas of Başur Kurdistan, where dozens of civilians lost their lives, coinciding with the silence of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Government of Iraq and not expressing any position on this, and on the other hand the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, increases with the increase Turkish occupation attacks.

To condemn these policies, hundreds of Qamishlo residents, along with members of institutions, religious scholars, and tribal leaders in a demonstration, demanded an end to the Turkish occupation.

Residents gathered in the eastern roundabout of the city, and raised pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading "We are the owners of the land, Erdogan is occupant and he must be tried." "With the resistance of Zilan and Avista, we will defeat the occupation," and "No to world silence about Turkish fascism and Kurds' annihilation."

The demonstration started from Sharqi roundabout, roamed the main street with chanting slogans denouncing the policy of the Turkish authorities, and stopped in front of the Sony roundabout.

After standing for a minute of silence, a speech was delivered by the administrator at Kongra Star, Ramziya Muhammad, in which she condemned the Turkish occupation’s attacks with heavy weapons on Haftanin, and emphasized the continuation of the line of struggle and resistance until victory was achieved, and standing in the face of the occupier.

Ramziya indicated that the Turkish occupation is trying in various ways to separate the Kurdish people by creating strife among them, and stressed the continuation of the democratic nation’s approach and following the policy and thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans condemning the occupation.
