The Iranian news agency "IRNA" reported that 217 people were injured in the explosion of a chlorine gas bottle, in the village of Zanjira Alia, affiliated to the district of Jaradul in the province of Ilam, who was on a truck in Ilam province, in western Iran.

According to the agency, the accident resulted from the "negligence" of the driver of the truck carrying chlorine gas bottles in the village, the accident has not resulted any fatalities.

The injured were transferred to two hospitals, one in the city of Ilam, the governorate center, and another in the city of Sarabla, the district center.

The agency said that 106 of the injured are still being treated in the two hospitals, while the other injured left them after receiving the necessary treatment, according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse.
