Turkish mercenaries kidnap Afrin people to make money

The mercenaries of the so-called "Military Police" kidnapped a child from Jinderesse district in the occupied Afrin canton on charges of belonging to the People's Protection Units. They kidnapped his brother and his cousin while they were looking for him and brutally tortured them.

Local sources from inside Afrin told Human Rights Organization Afrin - Syria that members of the so-called Military Police faction of the Turkish occupation, kidnapped on Sunday 29-8-2020, the child "Nuri Junaid bin Walid and Kurdistan", aged 13, from the people of Jinderesse sub-district, with a flimsy excuse, which is to deal with the People's Protection Units.

The sources confirmed that the child was tortured by the military police, and after the family of the child Nuri paid a ransom of 200,000 Syrian pounds, they released him.

The source added that both the child’s brother, Rajab Junaid and his cousin, Ahmed Junaid were kidnapped when they were searching for him in the MP headquarters in Afrin, and a ransom of 300 Turkish liras was paid in exchange for their release. After they were subjected to brutal torture. They are still in bed due to the severity of the torture they were subjected to by the Turkish MP.

It is noteworthy that all mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation have increased in the recent times the kidnapping the people of Afrin, extorting their families and demanding ransom in exchange for their release, as there are people who were kidnapped several times and paid the ransom many times, meaning that the mercenaries are now taking kidnapping as a profession to make money from the people of Afrin, who have not been displaced and are still in their homes
