"Abu Araj" commented in an interview with Hawar News Agency on the development of events in the Idlib region, in the far northwest of Syria, against the background of escalating tension and increasing possibilities for an outbreak of the situation there, with speculation of an imminent military action launched by the Syrian government forces and Russia to regain control, possibly on the M4 international road. .

The Director of the Political Bureau of Jaish al-Thuwar, Ahmed Sultan, known as "Abu Araj", spoke of the continuation of joint patrols on the international road between Russia and Turkey, despite the frequent targeting of the patrols by the militants.

"No regular truce before the regime and Russia take control of the south M4."

In the context of his speech, Abu Araj indicated that "there are violations of the truce signed on the fifth of last March by both parties and promises by the politicians and the Turkish side to stop the violations and return the Syrian regime or Russian forces to beyond Maarat al-Numan and the borders of the Sochi Agreement, but the reality is very different."

"There will be no true truce before the Syrian regime and Russia control the entire south of M4," he added. "All the promises from the Turkish side and the leaders of the military factions that are conferred on the Turkish side are empty promises and play with the minds of the people of the region."

Abu Araj touched upon the discussion about the Turkish recruitment of reinforcements to Idlib, noting that thousands of armored vehicles, weapons and thousands of soldiers have entered Idlib, and that the number of soldiers in Idlib is sufficient to fight entire countries.

However, he believes that "the mission of these forces is not to fight the Syrian regime or the Islamic factions present in the area northwest of Idlib."

Abu Araj expects that some things will become clear with the beginning of next September, which is the last deadline for the Turkish-Russian agreement on the international road, and he believed that Russia and the Syrian regime will advance to the M4 road by peace or war.

Abu Araj touched on the promises made by the Turkish occupation to confront any attack by government forces, stressing that “there will be no response from the Turkish side if there is military action in Idlib because we are absolutely sure that there is a joint operations room between Russia and Turkey.” ".
