Al-Mismari: Libyan south is witnessing movements of ISIS mercenaries

The spokesman for the Libyan National Army, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that the Libyan National Army had monitored several movements of ISIS mercenaries, in the south of the country.

Al-Mismari confirmed that ISIS is present in the south of the country, specifically in the “Umm al-Araneb” area, indicating that they “roam around that area, as they had very large movements on Tuesday supported by companies of Chadian mercenaries,” accusing the latter group of being affiliated with the Government of National Accord.

Al-Mismari said during an interview with Sputnik that there are a number of ISIS mercenaries in Tripoli, after they fled Benghazi for a long time after the battles that took place there.

The spokesman added that "the movement of these groups comes when the army moves towards Tripoli within the framework of the comprehensive battle, and the battle is managed by Turkey in order to break the siege or harass the armed forces or create preoccupations behind the armed forces, then these groups are moved."
