Series of kidnappings continues in Afrin

The kidnappings and extortion of civilians by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in occupied Afrin continue, amid demands to pay exorbitant sums of money to release the kidnapped under false pretexts, including those who are kidnapped and pay ransom money without knowing the reasons and motives for arrest under the pressure of arms and the constant threat to the people.

According to sources from occupied Afrin, to our agency's correspondent, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, on August 19, kidnapped the 14-year-old woman, Salwa Ahmed Shasho, from the village of Dar Kira in Mobata district, from her home on Villas Street in the city center of Afrin.

A private source confirmed that the Turkish occupation took the young woman to its headquarters in the village of Amara in the district of Mobata, and released her after 24 hours without mentioning the reasons for the arrest.

In the context, the mercenaries of the so-called "Sultan Muhammad the Conqueror" kidnapped the citizen Fawzi Nashat Hassan, a resident of the village of Gorkan Fawqani in Mobata district, and was taken to an unknown destination.

Also, on August 8, the Turkish intelligence, accompanied by the military police of the Turkish occupation, kidnapped a number of residents of the village of Jolaga, which belongs to the district of Janders, and our agency's correspondent was able to know the names of the kidnapped and they are: Hussein Abdul Rahman Othman, 68 years old, Izzat Muhammad Osman, aged 58 years old, Khalil Ezzat Othman, 23, Mustafa Alloush, 46, Othman Muhammad Rasho, 65, and Farida Abdo, 35 years.

A source indicated to our correspondent that the Turkish intelligence took the kidnapped to Mobata district, and their fate remains unknown until this moment.

On August 18, the Turkish intelligence service kidnapped two other citizens from the village of Jolaqa, who were Muhammad Nuri Sheikho, 50, and Abd al-Rahman Nuri Sheikho, 45, whose fate is also unknown.

The same source stated that Rojan Hussein, 28, from the village of Jolaqa, was kidnapped nearly a month ago, and his fate is still unknown.
