Protesters storm so-called local council's headquarter in occupied Girê Spî

Sources from inside the occupied city of Girê Spî / Tel Abyad stated that the city is witnessing a general strike and the closure of all shops amid a state of popular congestion, which has evolved into demonstrations in front of the so-called "local council", in protest against the recent decision to impose dealing in the Turkish lira and raise the prices of bread.

Hundreds of the city residents went out in a mass demonstration in front of the headquarters of the so-called "local council for Girê Spî and at the municipality roundabout, and they chanted slogans condemning what they called "the policy of starvation," and expressions against the so-called "Wael Hamad," the head of the so-called "local council", as Yesterday, the "Majlis" issued a circular determining the price of a bread bundle in the Turkish lira.
