An operation for security and administrative forces in al-Hol camp NE, Syria

In conjunction with the campaign "Deterring Terrorism", the security forces in the autonomous administration and the military started a large-scale operation inside al-Hol camp 45 km east of the Syrian city of al-Hasakah, which is one of the most dangerous camps in the world, inhabited by more than 30 thousand women and children of ISIS mercenaries, and nearly 11 thousand of them are foreign nationals, along with more than 26 thousand Iraqi refugees.

The "Deterring Terrorism" campaign launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces to eliminate ISIS cells began on June 4, and it is still continuing on its seventh day in a row, starting from the southern areas of al-Hasakah canton and reaching the northeastern countryside, the countryside of Deir –ez-Zor and the Syrian border - Iraq, at the request of Arab clans' notables and the people in the area, after the assassinations abounded in that region.

ANHA correspondent from al-Hol district stated that the operation of the security forces in al-Hol camp began at 02:00, and its aim is to reduce the chaos that ISIS women may cause during the process of gathering information and data according to the new division.

Our correspondent indicated that during the campaign, the participating forces worked to secure the surrounding of the camp, separate Muhajerat section section from the rest of the camp, and impose a curfew since the early morning hours, to facilitate the process of obtaining data and to prevent gatherings inside the camp.

This morning, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement in this context, affirming its commitment to contribute to the consolidation of international peace and security, and that it will work through the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces and in partnership with the International Coalition to identify and record the data of families residing in al-Muhajerat section, and reclassify them.

AA's statement indicated that the collection of the necessary data comes in order to improve the humanitarian living conditions in al-Hol camp, as well as to inform the mother countries of the camp residents and invite them to carry out their duties to provide the necessary support, and find an appropriate solution to the complex situation in the camp mentioned with the presence of huge numbers of women and children.

On the operation, the security forces official in al-Hol camp, Eylül Rüzgar explained that the goal of the operation in al-Muhajerat section is to establish security and stability in the camp on the one hand, improve the camp situation on the other hand, reclassify the records and information of families residing in the camp, and work to inform their countries of these nationalities, regarding the numbers and families that exist, and the responsibilities that lie with them.

Regarding the process of organizing records, the department official, Zilan Nebo, drew attention to the fact that they take the fingerprints of all women with their children to know their nationalities, and from any country in particular, and take a sample of DNA, fingerprints and color, in addition to giving a number to each family for ease of communication with them in the new organization.

On the importance of this step, Zilan Nebo indicated that it enables them to know the number of women and children of each country separately, and this will serve them while communicating with their mother country in order to consider their situation.
