US parliamentarians demand Trump to strictly implement "Caesar's Law"

The Caesar Law, signed by the US President in December, comes into force in mid-June, and specifically stipulates freezing reconstruction aid and imposing sanctions on the Syrian regime and companies cooperating with it unless the perpetrators of violations are tried. The law also targets Russian and Iranian entities working with Syrian regime.

Economists affirm that all Syrian regions will be affected by this law, although America has confirmed that the northern and eastern regions of Syria are exempt from the sanctions.

Syria is suffering from a severe economic crisis, which was recently exacerbated by the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The rapid economic collapse in neighboring Lebanon, where many Syrians deposit their money, made the situation worse in Syria.
