Nordic Monitor’s report reveals Adrogan's involvement in supporting terrorist groups

Reports always indicate that the Justice and Development Government, led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was involved in the support for the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, and extremists whom it sent to Syria, where it obscured the facts condemning them.

The “secret” report provides more details in a scandal that was originally exposed by “Nordic Monitor” in January 2019, and highlights the role of the Turkish Intelligence (MIT) in empowering al-Qaeda and the Terrorist Youth Movement.

According to the MASAK report, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a speech No. 488378 to MASAK on March 22, 2013, enclosing an information request sent by the U.S. Treasury Office led by Under Secretary of Defense David Cohen at that time.

The Intelligence information gathered by the Americans indicated that the Turkish citizen Ibrahim Shen and his brother Abdel Qader Shen were involved in handing $ 600,000 to the Youth Movement between September and December 2012.

Ibrahim Shen, an al-Qaeda terrorist, was arrested in Pakistan because of his links to al-Qaeda and transferred to Guantanamo, where he was held until 2005 before U.S. officials decided to extradite him to Turkey. In 2008, he was charged and convicted. In 2011, when the Syrian crisis began, he was recruited by the Turkish Intelligence Agency to mobilize jihadists in Syria.

During the exchange of information between the Turkish and American authorities, the Prosecutor's Office in Wan county was conducting a separate investigation specialized to terrorism against Shen two brothers and others suspected of belonging to al-Qaeda in January 2014, the Prosecutor obtained arrest warrants for both brothers and others suspected of belonging to al-Qaeda, including Othman Nuri Gulchar, a prominent figure in the regional establishment of the ruling Justice and Development Party.

The investigation file revealed how the Turkish Intelligence used the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda to transport the supplies and fighters to Syria in order to topple Bashar al-Assad’s government.

Erdogan’s government was alarmed by the possible repercussions, interfered in the investigation, blurred the facts, and released all the 25 suspected who were arrested.

Moreover, Erdogan’s government immediately sacked two prominent counter-terrorism leaders, Sardar Bayraktutan and Devlet Sinjy who had revealed al-Qaeda cells in six provinces. In April 2014, Morsel Ali Kablan, the chief in a non-prominent site was also removed.
