SDF arrested 20 suspects in al-Suwar countryside

SDF continues its campaign "Deterring Terrorism", which began on June 4, to eliminate ISIS mercenary cells in the countryside of al-Hasakah canton and Deir-ez-Zor.

At dawn today, the fifth day of the campaign's launch, Special Forces commandos of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were able to arrest 20 ISIS mercenaries, during a sweeping operation carried out by the fighters in the village of al-Hureiji belonging to al-Suwar district in the northeast countryside of Deir-ez-Zor Governorate

Commando officer Dordo Raqqa stated that, during combing the village of al-Hureji in al-Suwar district area, 20 people were arrested.

He pointed out that the combing operations in Deterring Terrorism campaign continues until the elimination of all ISIS cells and their pockets completely in the area.

Since the beginning of the campaign, SDF was able to arrest 78 suspects in relating with ISIS mercenaries.
