Turkey's crimes, arrest of Kurdish politicians condemned

To condemn the arbitrary arrests by the Turkish authorities against politicians and the arrest of parliamentarians from the Democratic People's Party, Laila Koven and Musa Fares, after the parliamentary immunity was dropped of them on June 5, today, Kongra Star organized a demonstration in Tirbespiyê area.

The demonstrators carried pictures of the leader Ocalan, the parliamentary fighter for the Democratic Peoples' Party, Leila Koven, flags of the Martyrs Families, the Kongra Star, the Democratic Union Party and the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement.

The demonstrators denounced the practices of the Turkish authorities.

The demonstrators stopped in front of the Syrian Revolution Youth Center,  member of the Kongra Star in Qamishlo, Munawar Khalid, delivered a speech in which she denounced the repressive policy of the Turkish authorities against Kurdish politicians and jurists in Bakûr Kurdistan, and said: "The Turkish state violates the legitimate rights of the politicians." .

Khalid explained that the Kurdish politicians in Turkey and Bakûr of Kurdistan practice their political activities under pressure, and they insist on carrying out their tasks and serving their people and their cause, and Leila Koven is a good example of this.

Khalid also said: "As long as there are women activists, Turkey will not be able to break the will of the Kurdish people. We will not get tired until the release of Koven."

Dêrik

Dozens of members of the Kongra Star and Dêrik gathered in Azadi Square at the invitation of the Kongra Star to participate in a protest against the crimes of the Turkish occupation

After a minute of silence, the co-chair of Dêrik District Council read the statement issued by the people in this regard, saying that "the Turkish occupation did not stop for a moment from its conspiracies against the Kurdish people in its daily bombardment of the mountains of Kurdistan, the legitimate defense areas and Başûr of Kurdistan."

The statement continued: "Despite the legitimacy of the parliamentarians, the Turkish occupation launched a campaign of arbitrary arrests against them, this indicates the fear of the Turkish state of the resistance of the militant woman, especially, the parliamentary militant Koven."

At the end of the statement, they emphasized that the struggle against the crimes of the Turkish state in northeast of Syria, and all parts of Kurdistan, particularly against crimes against women, should continue.
