Contrary to what you do at home ... Turkey supports protests in US

Although Iran killed more than 1,500 protesters during the past year, it sought to take advantage of the protests that took place in a number of American cities because of the killing of a black man by the police, and declared its support for these violent unrest, according to the Israeli Jerusalem Post.

"If you have brown skin and are walking in the United States, you cannot be sure that you will be alive in the next few minutes," wrote Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on his Twitter page.

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed that the killing of George Floyd, the African American man who was killed by the police in Minneapolis, was "very disturbing."

The Israeli newspaper indicated that while the Iranian regime supported the protests in the United States, which turned into violence in many cities, it killed the Kurds who crossed the border and transported goods.

"For its part, the American protests were supported by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is known for his ethnic cleansing of the Kurds in northern Syria, whose army carried out a drone strike that killed civilians on Saturday in Iraq," the newspaper added.

Erdogan described the United States as "racist and fascist" and said that the riots of the city of Minneapolis was the result of "a painful manifestation of the unjust regime that we stand against all over the world."
