5,300 Syrian mercenaries in Libya, 199 of whom were killed

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights SOHR said that 9 mercenaries whom Turkey sent to fight alongside accord government against the Libyan National Army were killed during the fighting.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights SOHR did not mention the date of their killing.

According to the observatory, the number of mercenaries supported by Turkey as a result of the military operations in Libya is 199 mercenaries, and the dead are from the factions of " Liwa al-Mu'tasim, Firqat Sultan Murad, Liwa Skoor al-Shamal, al-Hamzat and Suleiman Shah."

 According to the observatory, mercenaries were killed during the clashes on the axes of Salah al-Din neighborhood south of Tripoli, al-Ramla axis near Tripoli airport and the axis of al- Hadaba project, in addition to the battles of Misrata and other areas in Libya.

In the same context, Turkey continues to transport mercenaries to Libya to fight alongside the "government of national accord", where the Syrian Observatory confirmed the arrival of a new batch of dozens of fighters of pro-Ankara factions to Libya.

With the last batch that Turkey sent mercenaries to Libya, it has now reached about 5,300 mercenaries to Libyan territory, while the number of mercenaries who have arrived in Turkish camps to receive training has reached about 2,100 mercenaries.
