Iraqi army announces killing of 23 ISIS mercenaries

On Tuesday, Iraqi army announced the death of 23 ISIS mercenaries, in a security operation, in the north of the country.

In a statement, the army's security media cell said that the forces of the advanced headquarters of joint operations in Kirkuk governorate carried out a security operation in Wadi al-Shay, during which a "terrorist den" was found.

And it noted that the army and International Coalition warplanes carried out air strikes that resulted in destroying the den, which is a cave in which ISIS mercenaries were hiding, and 23 terrorists were killed.

While it mentioned that the clashes between the two parties resulted in the death of a soldier and the wounding of 4 others, and denied the news that some social media has reported about the kidnapping of soldiers.

ISIS mercenaries have resumed in launching its attacks in Iraq and Syria, where they launched three attacks on Sunday near Kirkuk and Diyala in less than six hours.

Also, ISIS mercenaries launched a violent attack on the city of Sokhna in the Syrian Badia, but the Russian aircraft and through heavy bombardment have responded to the attack.
