Imposing niqab, Turkish language, kidnapping youths in Tel Abyad

Sources from the occupied Tel Abyad canton said that the mercenary gangs began imposing veils on women as part of a series of violations taking place in the canton, including the imposition of the Turkish language, kidnapping of young men, widespread unemployment and a rise in prices.

The sources told ANHA: "Silok district, like the rest of the occupied territories, has witnessed a return of the culture of ISIS mercenaries, such as the imposition of the headscarf in Tel Abyad, Silok district, and Hammam Turkman town, where al-Jabha al-Sharqiyya mercenaries which are composed of elements who were among ISIS mercenaries are frequently present. "

Leasing Kurds’ homes

In the context of the continuing violations in the occupied canton, the same sources stated that the mercenaries are leasing the shops of the displaced, especially the Kurds to the mercenaries and their families, or some of the exploiters present in Tel Abyad.

The mercenaries require paying a portion of the rent to the so-called Economic Committee of what is known as the Local Council established by the Turkish occupation in the occupied Tel Abyad canton.

Imposing Turkish language on the local residents

In the framework of Turkification policies, the Turkish state obliges the people to join courses of the Turkish language.

Deceiving young men

And Turkey intends to deceive the young men by luring them with huge salaries in exchange for joining the so-called military police, a faction directly affiliated with the Turkish occupation army.

Earlier, the Turkish occupation army graduated two batches, each batch consisting of about 500 individuals who received training in the cities of Akja Qala and Urfa, but after the joiners discovered the falsity of the Turkish occupation’s allegations, they began to defect from their ranks, as the percentage of defections reached nearly 70%, and the joiners did not take even half of the salaries that were supposed to be paid, while all registrants for the third course that was supposed to be opened withdrew.

Abduction, unemployment and escalation of prices

The sources said that the mercenaries raid homes and kidnap civilians without reasons or charges, not to mention the lack of all the basic necessities of life, high costs in sales prices, and widespread unemployment.
