We aim at Kurdish unity, democratic and decentralized Syria

The party's main goal is to achieve Kurdish unity and a decentralized democratic Syria, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) general councilmember Ahmed Khoja said.

"After holding its party conference last month, the party has drawn up a political strategy under which it will struggle in the next phase to reach a solution to the Syrian crisis, and spare the Kurdish people more tragedies through "Achieving Kurdish unity and preserving the gains." Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Ahmed Khoja noted.

The Democratic Union Party held its eighth congress on February 25 and 26, resulting in the election of a joint presidency, as well as the election of 90 members of the party's General Council and seven as a disciplinary committee.

" we are in a new phase in the north and east of Syria in particular and Syria in general. Our priority is a decentralized democratic Syria and protect the Autonomous Administration model as far as the interior is concerned, we are trying to stimulate dialogue," Ahmed Khoja said in an interview with Hawar News Agency. "With all the political parties and get to the Kurdish unity, we see gender equality as our primary goal in Syria in general."

"In general, we want to achieve and build a democratic, political and ethical society on an ecological and gender equality, a society capable of managing itself," he said.

The party's role in resolving the Syrian crisis and its future outlook

"Since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, we have taken a clear position, which is the third line of opposition, we did not want things to reach military fighting . We believe that dialogue is the only solution to this crisis."

"The Syrian issue will end through the Syrian-Syrian dialogue. we believe that the solution will be only inside Syria and through dialogue," he said.

"We strive to reach political solutions between all parties, work to open the lines of dialogue and put our efforts in this issue to reach a final solution, because the external parties that talk about the Syrian solution start from their interests " he said.

The party's role in the Kurdish unity

"Kurdish unity is one of the main objectives of the party and ensuring the rights of the Kurds in a unified and democratic Syria," Ahmed Khoja, member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party said. we have tried to achieve this unity and done a lot for all Kurdish parties to participate in building the Autonomous Administration with the participation of many Kurdish political parties."

"In the next phase, we need to work to build a unified Kurdish position so that the Kurdish people can run themselves in a democratic Syria; this depends on achieving Kurdish unity; we believe in this unity and work towards achieving it," he said.

Khoja also noted that at all recent conferences, they had appealed for a Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue such as the KNK conference to reach a Kurdish unity.
