"I have sought for more than two years and half to reunite Libyans, curb foreign interference, and preserve the unity of the country," Salameh said in a tweet.

He  numbered the international efforts to solve the Libyan crisis represented at Berlin summit, the adoption of resolution 2510, and the launch of the three tracks, and then he continued saying "I acknowledge that my health no longer allows for this pace of stress." I therefore asked the Secretary-General to relieve me of my mission in the hope that Libya would have peace and stability."

Despite January 12th  Berlin summit decision to cease fire, fighting continued between the Libyan National Army andTripoli government, but the United Nations recently said it was trying to hold peace talks in Geneva.

Last Friday, Salameh said in remarks in Geneva that Libya witnessed a serious violation of the truce, calling on all parties to respect the ceasefire again.

In a statement, the UN Mission in Libya condemned an attack last Thursday, saying it killed five members of the same family in an area controlled by the Libyan National Army, which said the attack was carried out by a drone.

Tripoli government is supported by Turkey and allied mercenaries brought from Syria to tighten the militia's grip on Tripoli, which the national army launched an offensive last year, in the latest round of fighting in Libya since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.

Late Last Friday, the Libyan National Army said it had shot down at least six Turkish drones and displayed images of the wreckage.
