Erdogan: We have not received US support on Idlib

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he had not received support from the United States on the situation in Idlib, and noted that Ankara had not received a satisfactory result in its negotiations with Moscow.

Erdogan previously noted that Ankara "has not yet received a satisfactory outcome in its negotiations with Moscow over Idlib and is ready to start a military operation in this region," the scenario that the Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, described as the worst.

In another context, German Foreign Minister Haikou Maas announced that the foreign ministers of 14 European Union countries demanded an immediate end to the fighting in the Syrian city of Idlib.

"I invite the Syrian regime, along with 13 colleagues, and those who support it, to return to the ceasefire system," Maas wrote on Twitter.

He added that the fighting must stop immediately, noting that those responsible for the fighting must be placed under legal liability.

It is worth noting that the statement was signed by the Foreign Ministers of France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Ireland.

These developments come before the arrival of a Russian delegation to Turkey for talks on the situation in Idlib, after the failure of previous rounds.
