PYD ratifies on its political agenda

The activities of the eighth conference of the Democratic Union Party began in the town of Rmaylan in Qamishlo canton, under the slogan "with democratic union, we defeat the occupation, develop the Autonomous Administration, and build a democratic Syria", in the presence of 600 delegates from North and East Syria and Başûr Kurdistan and Europe, in addition to the conference guests, including representatives of the Syrian Democratic Council, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the National Coordination Authority - Change Movement, the Syriac Union Party, notables in North and East Syria, political and community figures, representatives of parties in northeastern Syria, and representatives of the administration of north and east Syria, and representatives of women's and youth organizations, Kurdish and Arab tribes, in addition to an elite group of intellectuals and academics.

On the second and last day afternoon, delegates discussed and approved the party's political agenda.

The political agenda included in its preamble a historical overview of the global crisis, the political map in the Middle East whose features were drawn in the First World War, the role of society, and how Kurdistan was divided into four parts through the agreements concluded, the Kurdish issue in the Middle East, the Kurdish issue in Syria and the democratic solution and the party’s vision regarding the new Syrian constitution.

The political program also included the basic principles of the party, and its political, social and economic goals, in connection with human rights and social justice in Syria, and building relationships and alliances.

The party's rules of procedure is now being read, and it is scheduled to discuss it and then elect the co-chairs and the party's general council.
