PYD Presidency: What we reached today by virtue of our resistance, we to continue march

The co-chairs of the Democratic Union Party Shahuz Hassan and Aisha Hasso delivered speeches in Arabic and Kurdish at the opening of the party's 8^th conference which is being held at the Aram Tikran hall in the town of Rmelan.

The party presidency commemorated in the beginning of all freedom 's martyrs, and wished healing to the wounded and injured.

The statement said "We have witnessed years of struggle and resistance in NE, Syria, and the peoples of the region have fought historical resistance from Afrin to Serêkaniyê and GIRÊ SPî, particularly in the recent attack, which was an international plan aimed at the will of the peoples of the region".

But these peoples were able to foil this plot, and all humanity gathered around it.

Words were added "If we can continue to march in the spirit of resistance to Afrin, Serêkaniyê and GIRÊ SPî, and strengthen the union, we will be able to protect the gains in northeastern Syria as well as in Syria in general, and establish the foundations of a democratic system".

We have reached this day by virtue our resistance and we will continue to march.

The joint presidency noted in its words that the Democratic Union Party was able to reach the present day through continuous struggle and resistance at the highest levels, and achieve victories and gains, adding: "We will continue to fight on the approach of resistance, and circumvent the values of the people and crown the stage with victory."

"However, the other parties have reinforced racist nationalism, opened the door to foreign interventions, and thus the emergence of mercenary gangs, and the situation in Syria has reached what it is".

The words also touched upon the efforts of the Democratic Union Party in promoting the democratic experience in NE, Syria, and praised the model of co-existence between all people, adding, "In the PYD we fought on this approach, and we sought to promote the democratic experience and play an active role.

"At the level of Kurdish unity, the words confirmed that the PYD has always called for national unity, participated in all endeavors, both at the Kurdish level and at the level of Rojava, and called on all parties to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard.

The presidency of the Democratic Union Party stressed at the end of its speech the need for Syrian-Syrian dialogue, as well as the need for dialogue with Damascus in order to solve the Syrian crisis in general and solve the Kurdish issue, adding, "We expressed our readiness for a political solution, but the position of those in Damascus hinders the solution.

"The positions that the situation should return to before 2011 do not contribute to resolving the crisis and establishing a free, democratic and pluralistic Syria, without that and without resolving the Kurdish issue, the Syrian crises wouldn't be resolved, the key to resolving the Syrian crisis is to solve the Kurdish issue."
