From acting to directing, young talents emerged during Metan Festival

Two young directors stared during the 4th festival of Metan for Theatre in directing a play that got the satisfaction of the audience. The two young directors confirmed that living the directing experience was a difficult task, but determination and perseverance contributed to the success of their experience.

Young artistic experiments emerged during Mitan 4^th festival in Al-Shehaba canton in the field of acting and theatre directing.

Zainab Mohammed 20, entered the field of theatre as an actress during Mitan festival seasons, in this season, she chose to experience theatrical directing.

" the experience of the theatre production was not an easy and spontaneous experience, adding, "It is difficult to direct a theatrical script, especially for a 20-year-old, because directing requires previous experiences." Zainab Mohammed said:"

Zainab stressed that the conditions of the forced displacement and living at the camps did not prevent them from making success in this experiment, and continuing their work. "with few possibilities we launched the 4^thseason of Mitan festival. At the beginning,we were conducting the performance experiments and exercises in the tents, and that was not an easy matter, but in the end the theatre hall was created."

"Directing is an important step for me," Zainab said, " directing that I did was a positive step for me. I am proud of this experience. I directed "ODEYA BE ÇÊIVÎK" a Room without Birds" play. It is about the masculine mentality in the middle eastern society towards women."

Salam Ebou, is another young man who experimented theatre directing alongside acting during the 4^th season of Mitan festival, "We had to do our best to make success of Mitan Festival for theatre, so I did not only play the role of the actor, but I also participated in the role of the theatre director, directing is a key art."

Salam Ebou says that he is satisfied with his work as a director and I also played the role of theatre coach where I was asked to set up theatre groups to participate in the festival, I was satisfied after I presented my first experience in theatre directing in partnership with Mirzan Bakir, and he is also going through his first directing experience. We directed t "TERÎFÊ HEYDO" play.

Salam noted that they had worked for four months until the job was fully completed. " "TERÎFÊ HEYDO was a comedy about the state corruption, and how people are exploited, this job was prepared four months ago. The play attracted the attention of the audience."

"As directors, we are trying to highlight another aspect of the resistance. We have not given up our work in the theater, even though we started our work in the tents. Kicking off Mitan Festival for theatre was a dream for us and has now become a reality," Salam Ibou said.
