PYD's official expects Syrian regime continues its battles till control on Idlib

For more than a month, the Idlib region in northwestern Syria has witnessed the fiercest battles between mercenary groups affiliated with the Turkish occupation state and the Syrian regime supported by the Russian airspace.

The situation in the Syrian Idlib governorate is particularly complicated. After nine years of civil war and five years after its exit from the control of the regime, and after sending all mercenary groups to Idlib according to agreements between Turkey, Iran, Russia and the Syrian regime, this governorate is still struggling in order to survive and rowing against the wind in Syria.

In this context, Hawar news agency (ANHA) held a meeting with the Official of International Relations in the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates region, Bakr Haj Issa, to talk more about the details of this issue, which has occupied the political and military scene in Syria and the region over the last days.

The Idlib battle was agreed upon in Astana!

Bakr Haj Issa says: "The Syrian regime is trying to extend its influence over the region and recover what it lost in the past, and is now advancing to gain control of some parts of the M5 road, which is considered a strategic way for Syria because of its importance in linking a number of Syrian governorates with each other, especially the governorate of Aleppo, which It is considered an economic stockpile for Syria. "

Haj Issa indicated that this plan was agreed upon in advance at the recent Astana meeting, which brought together Russia, Turkey and Iran.

The Syrian regime is trying hard to impose its control on the international highway, known the M5, which is the longest highway in Syria, and has a length of about 450 kilometers.

the politician believed that the next stage after controlling the highway would be controlling Idlib.

The deals are held before the outbreak of battles

On the goals of Turkey and Russia in Syria, Bakr Haj Issa explained that "the regime works with the Russians to extend control over the largest amount of Syrian lands, and Russia agrees with Turkey that is working to hand over areas under opposition control in exchange for an incursion into the north and east of Syria to hit the project of the democratic nation, and Idlib another model for these deals. "

Haj Issa emphasized that "the solution to the Syrian crisis will not be achieved by the military methods that the parties concerned with the Syrian affair take. Rather, this increases the severity of the conflict and brings an endless catastrophe, and political methods must be followed to address the problems, and this will not harm the Syrian people."

He expressed his conviction that Syria must be a decentralized democracy, that the Syrians should not be controlled by countries from outside.

Haj Issa demanded, "The opposition must break its ties with Turkey, which is working to achieve its ambitions in Syria, and to recruit the opposition into a war that has nothing to do with it. Turkey will not achieve any goal on the ground and will not guarantee its survival."

Russia and Turkey seek to achieve their interests

The Official of the Diplomatic Relations in the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates region, Bakr Haj Issa, indicated that they prefer peace and security to prevail in Idlib, and that the people of that region move away from Erdogan's project, stressing that their doors are open to negotiations in political ways.

"Turkey and Russia have made Syria an arena for achieving their interests at the expense of the Syrian people, and what is happening in Syria in terms of killing, displacement and demographic change is not a solution to the crisis that has befallen the country," he said at the end of his speech to (ANHA).

The Syrian regime forces have recently made progress on the ground in Idlib at the expense of Turkey's mercenary groups, while the battles are continuing amid the Syrian regime's desire to regain control of the international highway linking Aleppo and Damascus.
