Lawyer: International institutions have to hold responsibilities on Ocalan's isolation

The lawyer Mohamed Amin al-Nua'imi explained that the imposed policy on the leader Ocalan is a manifest violation of the human rights. He called on the International Court of Justice of Hague, the European Court and the Amnesty International to break their silence on these violations.

Lawyer Mohamed Amin al-Nua'imi, the member of the Lawyers Union of Al Jazeera region, explained in his speech to Hawar news agency that the Turkish authorities are violating international human rights’ conventions and treaties by imposing a strict isolation and disciplinary sanctions on the leader Ocalan.

"There is no law in the world that prevents the lawyers and families of the detainees from meeting them, no matter of the punishment degree , especially if the charge is political," al-Nua’imi said.

Lawyer Mohamed Amin al-Nua’imi said the policies practiced on the leader, Ocalan, are a clear violation of the human rights, and he said: "The history of the Turkish state is full of arbitrary practices and human rights violations." He said.

Al-Nua’imi noted that the universal declaration of the Human Rights is an international rights document representing the adopted declaration by the United Nations on December 10, 1948 at the palaice de Chaillot in Paris. The declaration consisted of 30 articles talks about UN's view about the protected and guaranteed human rights.

International institutions have to hold their responsibilities

Lawyer, Mohamed Amin al-Nua’imi, called on the international institutions such as the International Court of Justice in the Hague, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and the Amnesty International concerned with following up human rights in the world to break their silence and endure their responsibilities towards the Turkish violations of human rights and imposing a strict isolation on Ocalan.

"The leader Ocalan must be allowed to meet with his lawyers and family because it is a legitimate right," he said.

It is worth mentioning that the Turkish authorities impose strict isolation on the leader Ocalan and refuse to allow his lawyers and family to visit him.

Lawyers managed to meet their client Ocalan for the first time after an eight-year ban in May 2^nd, 2019. Other visits followed in May 2^nd and 22^nd, July 12^nd and 18^th, August 7^th and October 21^st 2019. Then, Turkey prevented visits under the pretext of disciplinary sanctions which lawyers confirm that they are of a secret nature and do not know their contents and causes.
