The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Russian aircraft renewed hovering over Idlib governorate, within the so-called “de-escalation” area, in conjunction with the implementation of intensive raids on areas in Maarat al-Numan, and its surroundings, and the villages of Sarjah and Babila, Ruwaiha and al-Hamidiya, in the countryside of Ma`ra.

The axes of eastern Idlib countryside witnessed mutual targeting with missiles and heavy machine guns after midnight on Wednesday - Thursday between mercenary groups affiliated with Turkey on the one hand and the regime forces on the other hand, after the violent battles in the region yesterday, on Wednesday.

These developments come after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday, and they issued a joint statement calling for calm in Idlib, and the implementation of agreements on that.

This meeting was accompanied by violent clashes in Idlib, the regime's mobilization of its forces in Aleppo countryside, and its talk of a nearby military operation.
