The administrator of Kongra Star in al-Shaddadi said, "The martyr Sakîne Cansiz did not die. She lives in the spirit of every woman who loves freedom and rejects slavery." She pointed out that the women of al-Shaddadi are following the path of the martyrs and their militant role.

Under the slogan "In the Spirit of Resisting Sakîne Cansiz and Hevrin, we Will Destroy Fascism and Occupation", the Kongra Star in al-Shaddadi side organized a memorial ceremony for the 7th anniversary of the assassination of the three militants (Sara)(Sakîne Cansiz, (Rojbîn) Fîdan Dogan  and (Ronahî) Leyla Şaylemez" in the French capital Paris on the 9th date January 2013.

The commemoration ceremony, which was organized in the gymnasium in the district, was attended by civil and military institutions in all areas of al-Shaddadi, Murkada, al-Arisha and Abadan, members of the Women’s House and the martyrs' families' institution and dozens of women and men in the city and the countryside.

The ceremony began with holding a minute's silence, after that the administrator in al-Hasakah canton Janda delivered speech, which she mentioned the role of the militant Sakîne Cansiz and her companions, where they had pioneer role for the struggle, and among the first women to undertake responsible to women's liberation, lead the freedom revolution and break the bonds of slavery.

Janda praised the militant role played by women in the current period, and fights on the fronts in the face of brutal Turkish aggression and its mercenaries, and its management of civil and military institutions in NE, Syria.

In the same context, the administrator of the Kongra Star in al-Shadadi, Amira al-Saad, affirmed that "the martyr Sakîne Cansiz did not die, as she lives in the spirit of every woman who loves freedom and rejects slavery."

Amira al-Saad noted that women in the al-Shaddadi district are following the path of the martyrs and their militant role.

The ceremony ended with chanting slogans condemning the massacres and saluting the resistance of women.
