Al-Mismari affirmed that the liberation of Sirte city took no more than three hours. He pointed out that the military operation was swift and fast, and relied on secrecy and surprise.

The National Army Forces reached the center of Sirte after controlling by land and sea over the largest strategic sites in the city, the most important camps affiliated with al-Wefaq Government, and the most prominent entrances and exits of the city after a large-scale storming operation that started since Monday morning.

On the other hand, Libyan sources said that the Libyan National Army led by the Marshal Khalifa Haftar managed to control the al-Saaedi Battalion in Sirte city.

These field developments come a day after Turkey announced that units of its army had moved to Libya for the sake of coordination and stability.
