The White House said that US President Donald Trump told the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a telephone call that the foreign intervention was complicating the situation in Libya.

The US and Turkish presidents discussed the regional developments, the foremost of which were the developments in Libya and Syria, as well as the bilateral relations between Washington and Ankara.

The telephone call came after the Turkish parliament agreed to send Turkish military forces to Libya days after sources confirmed that Turkish mercenaries had already arrived there.

The Turkish move caused regional and international outrage, and Egypt issued a warning to Turkey about the consequences and repercussions of any military intervention in Libya.
