Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: Turkish Brotherhood-based politics have failed

After the international rejection of Turkish military intervention in Libya, which Erdogan has already begun to implement his plans, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the head of Turkey's largest opposition party, also expressed his opposition to Erdogan's policy and the sending of Turkish soldiers to Libya.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the head of the Republican People's Party, strongly criticized the government's intention to send Turkish forces on military missions to Libya, expressing his party's categorical rejection of any decision that spilled the blood of the Turks outside the country.

"The foreign policy lacks depth, history and experience in the foreign ministry," he said, in a meeting with journalists in Ankara. "It is based on the Brotherhood organization," saying that Turkish policy in the Syrian and Libyan affairs "will bring Turkey more harm than gains."

A prominent opponent called on the Turkish government to "draw lessons from the wrong policies in Syria and not repeat them in Libya." He asked: "What are Turkey's gains in Syria? Do you win or lose? Even ordinary people on the street will tell you how wrong they are."

And media outlets said yesterday evening that Syrian mercenaries from the militant organizations recruited by Ankara have already arrived in the Libyan capital to fight for Turkey there in return for attractive salaries.
