FSP administrator: "Demographic change processes carried out under international agreements"  

On Monday, the Future Syria Party (FSP) organized a dialogue seminar entitled "Displacement and Forced Displacement," at al-Burj Hall in the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishlo, with the participation of the  Kurdish, Arab and Syriac political parties representatives, as well as the Yezidis, intellectuals and religious scholars.

Saleh al-Zawbaa , the head of the organization's office of the Future Syria Party, Al Jazeera branch, managed the  seminar. He initially defined the meaning of the forced displacement, saying: "Those practices are carried out by governments, paramilitary forces or fanatic groups  against  the ethnic, religious or sectarian groups, as an illegal eviction goal of the group of individuals and the population from the land on which they live, and replacing them with other groups.”

Saleh al-Zawbaa referred to the Rome Humanitarian Order of the International Criminal Court. He said: "When people are forcibly deported or transferred as part of a large-scale attack, that constitutes a crime against humanity.”

He added, "Forced displacement is a crime of war, genocide and humanitarian crimes according to the dictionary of the international law and international humanitarian law, as it has recently happened in Afrin, Jarablus, al-Bab and northern Aleppo by the Turkish regime against the components of the region."

Al-Zawbaa explained that the forced displacement of the population in Syria had been represented in the recent violent campaigns accompanied by the shelling, siege and fighting, such as  those which had been launched by the regular forces and the  supporting militias, so that the only option for the population had been to submit to the forced migration to other areas.

He also made clear: "Most of the displacement agreements were under Russia's sponsorship, with the participation of Turkey and Qatar, where the population was moved from areas besieged by the  regime forces in al-Ghouta and elsewhere to Idlib province in northern Syria."

After Saleh al-Zawbaa finished the lecture, the audience expressed their views about the demographic change taking place in the region by the Turkish occupation army, mentioned some practices of the Turkish occupation against the peoples of the region, and said Turkey had practiced ethnic cleansing in Afrin, Jarablus and the areas it occupied, displaced the peoples of the region and emptied the cities of their inhabitants through systematic operations.
