2 Resistance of Age martyrs’ corpses bid farewell

Hundreds of people from Afrin region bid farewell the corpses of the two martyrs, Joan Afrin; the real name is Ramadan Afrin, and Cûdî Çîa; the real name is Ibrahim Ahmed, who were martyred on December 18^th, during the second phase of the Resistance of the Age, in front of the Afrin Hospital in Fafin district in al-Shahba canton.

The people flocked towards Ahras district for the funeral of the two martyrs, amid the trills of mothers and slogans that glorify the martyrs and revive the Resistance of the Age and Dignity.

The funeral ceremonies began in the Resistance of the Age martyrs’ shrine with a minute of silence, followed by a speech delivered by the member of the Martyrs’ Families Council Khalil Issu and a speech by Newroz Afrin; the administrative member in the Afrin Canton Council.

The words recalled all the martyrs of the Resistance of the Age, and offered their condolences to their families, stressing that the martyrs had been the ones who had sacrificed their lives in order to protect their dignity, the unity of peoples and the democratic nation, and liberate their land from the hands of the fascist Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

After that, the documents of the two martyrs were read by the member of the Martyrs’ Families Council Avdar Mohammed, and they were handed over to their families. Then, the martyrs’ families and companions carried the two martyrs’ corpses to their last resting place in the shrine of the martyrs of the Resistance of the Age, amidst the mothers’ trills and the chants of glorification.
