In EP Conference in Brussels, agreeing that Erdogan is war criminal

The conference is attended by representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, European Parliamentarians, representatives of the civil society, politicians and a group of journalists, as several speeches delivered touching upon the situations witnessed in NE Syria / Rojava in the result of the Turkish aggression and the practices of the terrorist factions supported by Ankara against the civilians. 

Nadhira Gewriye talked about the Syriac Union Party, remarking that “Turkey exported terrorism. The Turkish regime always sought to hit the Autonomous Administration and this poses a threat to all the nationalities and ethnicities in NE Syria. We see that Turkey’s occupation attacks did not discriminate between civilians and fighters. This is an operation of terror as Turkey helps resurrection of ISIS, and the safe zone it talks about is a pretext for the terrorists.”

The director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdul Rahman pointed out, “The Turkish army violated the international laws concerned to wars, as the military operations it carried out in cooperation with the terrorist factions did not only inflict damage to civilians, but the goal was to change to the demography of the region in general.”

Abdul Rahman pointed out that the Turkish state had supported the Syrian National Army to fight the Syrians. All that had taken place with direct instructions from Erdogan. The Turkish aggression on NE Syria had aimed at displacing the Kurds from their historical lands and carrying

Hayat Naisse, the representative of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) said, “The Turkish aggression on North Syria do not only pose a threat to the Kurds, but it is a target against all the components of the area and the Syrian people in general.”

Naisse continued, “The Turkish state’s goal is to eliminate the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, that is the elimination of any democratic project of the Syrians in general.”

The Egyptian journalist Nashat Elheedy talked during the conference, noting that the plans of the Turkish regime to establish a “Turkish empire” had based on “killing and bloodshed,” recalling the genocide committed by the Turkish authorities against the Armenian people, and added, “The Turkish state has interests that are hostile to both the Kurds and the Arabs, so it seeks to establish its new Ottoman Empire through pretexts in the Arab world from the Muslim Brotherhood, but the Egyptian state was aware of these plans, so it sought to thwart it by removing the Brotherhood from leadership in Egypt.”

Elheedy confirmed that what the Turkish state did was considered war crimes, and from inside the European Union, we must raise our voice to say that “Erdogan is a war criminal and must be put on trial as such.. the international community do not move as required to stop those crimes, and the major states move according to their interests not according to the international laws.”
