Erdogan calls on the poor to focus on price of "bullet" instead of food

In a speech like the speeches of leaders of the world who want to induce the people through hollow demagogic speeches, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan raised the specter of enemies abroad in his effort to confront a local threat to his popularity represented by inflation in food prices before the elections.

The Bloomberg news agency reported that Erdogan was aware of the complaints of people in Turkey about the rise in prices of commodities such as tomatoes and potatoes. Where he tried on Friday to fuel national enthusiasm for his campaign, and appealed to the Turks to think about the "price of the bullet."

"What is the cost of the soldier's uniform, the struggle and the price of the bullet? Think about it," Erdogan told in a meeting in the central city of Sivas.

"Criticizing officials of food prices has served only the interests of foreign powers that aim to undermine the country," Erdogan said similar to the language of his world counterparts who disrespect their people.

The agency notes that Erdogan and all his predecessors wanted to intimidate the Turks from the "Kurdish phobia" in order to gather votes and to prevent the people to talk about corruption and rising prices and unemployment.

According to the US agency, the municipal ballot on March 31 will be the first major electoral test for Erdogan and his ruling Justice and Development Party(AKP) since last year.
