Asiya Abdullah: With Avîsta, Barîn's spirit, we to escalate struggle

On Thursday morning, the women of the Euphrates region flocked towards 19 July Park to denounce the international conspiracy that targeted the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan and to stand in solidarity with the resistance of the parliamentarian Leyla Guven.

The activity started with holding a minute of silence. After that, a statement was read in Arabic and Kurdish. After delivering the statement, the member of Kongra Star Coordination Asiya Abdullah delivered a speech and said, "We salute the women's resistance, especially Leyla Guven's resistance that entered its 92nd day. 20 years passed and our people have been struggling for the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan's freedom. We will stay resisting till our goals are achieved."

Asiya Abdullah said, "As Rojava women, we must escalate our struggle and build the democratic nation."

The member of Kongra Star Coordination said in the end of her speech, "We must stand in solidarity with Leyla Guven and her comrades who are continuing their hunger strike. In the 20th year of the international conspiracy against Ocalan, we will escalate our struggle by Avîsta and Barîn's spirit."

After the speeches ended, the women headed from 19 July Park towards the Free Women square chanting the slogans that salute the women's resistance and denounce the international conspiracy.
